Candidate Filing Deadlines

  • January 3 - Declaration of Intent to Gather Signatures Begins To view the who has Declared an Intent to Gather Signatures, click here.
  • February 28 - Candidate Filing Begins To view who has filed as a candidate in Utah County, click here.
  • March 4 - Candidate Filing Closes
  • March 4 - Candidate Signature Petitions Due
  • July 1 - Justices/Judges Filing Begins To view who has filed as a candidate in Utah County, click here.
  • July 15 - Justices/Judges Filing Closes
  • Candidate Financial Disclosures Candidates who withdraw after the filing deadline will be required to submit a financial disclosure no later than 30 days after withdrawing.

Primary Election

  • May 13 - UOCAVA Ballots Mailed To request a ballot under UOCAVA, click here.
  • June 3 - Logic and Accuracy Testing A public test and demonstration of the elections equipment prior to counting official ballots.
  • June 6 - June 10 - Vote-by-Mail Ballots Mailed If you do not receive your ballot by Friday, June 10, please contact our office at 801-851-8128.
  • June 13 - June 24 - In-Office Early Voting (Weekday Only) Early Voting location and hours can be found on our website,
  • June 17 - Voter Registration Deadline To update your voter registration, click here.
  • June 21 - Financial Disclosure Deadline Candidates on the Primary ballot need to report expenditures up to 10 days before the Primary election.
  • June 27 - Postmark Deadline To avoid missing the postmark deadline, you can return your ballot to any of the ballot drop boxes. Locations can be found here.
  • June 28 - Election Day Polling locations and ballot drop boxes will be open until 8pm. Locations can be found here.
  • June 29 - July 12 - Canvass Period
  • July 6 - Election Audit A public audit will be performed of the signatures and ballots cast.
  • July 8 - Signature Affidavit Cure Deadline
  • July 12 - Board of Canvassers Meeting Board of Canvassers will certify the election results. Election results are preliminary until they are certified.
  • August 12 - Financial Disclosure Deadline Only applicable to candidates that were eliminated in the Primary election.

General Election

2022 General Election Notice

The 2022 Schedule of Elections is preliminary and subject to change. Final schedule of elections will be posted following the 2022 legislative session.
Voters who are not registered, but otherwise eligible to vote, may vote provisionally in person at a Vote Center on Election Day.
