The Utah County Fire Marshal's responsibilities are to enforce currently adopted fire codes and Utah County fire prevention ordinances; provide technical assistance for any emergency situations throughout Utah County, and conduct fire safety inspections of all business and hazardous material operations within unincorporated Utah County for compliance to these adopted fire codes on a yearly basis.
The Fire Marshal is also the primary arson investigator for fires within unincorporated Utah County and assists other cities within Utah County in this regard. Building plans, fire suppression system plans, propane plans, and burn permits are reviewed by the Fire Marshal to maintain fire safety and compliance to adopted codes.
Open Burn 2014
The Utah County Spring Open Burn season will begin on March 30th, 2014 and conclude on May 30th, 2014.
