As of 9:00 a.m. on Saturday (09/22/18), the evacuation orders will be lifted for Elk Ridge and Woodland Hills Cities. The cities will move to a pre-evacuation status at that time.

Pole Creek and Bald Mountain Fire continue to burn but progress is being made. No real updates except there no homes have been lost and no lost time injuries.

US Hwy 89 evacuation order lifted and changed to pre-evacuation status. Residents in this area may return home, but the US Forest Service Closures remain in place. Violations will be enforced.

The Pole Creek and Bald Mountain fire evacuations are still in place. US Highway 6, closed most of Saturday, has been re-opened. No new evacuation or pre-evacuation notices.

Several canyons and roads have been closed in Utah County have been closed and some residents along US Highway 89 in Spanish Fork Canyon are under mandatory evacuation notice.

A 30 year old Eagle Mountain woman was found dead inside a pick up truck outside her home early this morning. Her cause of death is unknown, but alcohol and prescription medication may be factors. Circumstances are not suspicious.

***UPDATE*** Name released. A woman from Utah County died after she lost control while driving and crashed. She was pronounced dead at the hospital. She was not wearing a seatbelt.

An Ogden man and woman are in jail after a traffic stop where 9.7 pounds of methamphetamine was found. The woman's 2 year old child was also in the car. Bail has been set at $50K cash for each.

A 16 year old Santaquin girl died after she fell while hiking in Santaquin Canyon. She sustained significant injuries during the fall and efforts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful.

Human remains found in Hobble Creek Canyon have been identified as belonging to Elizabeth Elena Laguna-Salgado. She has been missing from Provo since April 16, 2015.
