Blue Line Ladies is holding a fundraising event in Pleasant Grove. They raise funds to help better protect and train police officers. Two Officers will also be recognized for their service.

On Saturday, August 17, 2019, Blue Line Ladies, a nonprofit organization based in Weber County, will hold a fundraising event in Pleasant Grove. The mission of the Blue Line Ladies is to provide police officers with protective gear and to offer more protection and training. Law enforcement officer’s inner vests do not stop many rifle rounds. They are seeking donations, no matter how small, to purchase outer body armor, called trauma plates, for Northern Utah agencies. For the Blue Line Ladies, this is the first time they have reached out to Central Utah.
Also on Saturday, PilmerPR, a public relations and marketing company, will present Star officer awards to two local law enforcement officers. Sergeant Carl Nielson, with Pleasant Grove Police Department, and Deputy Garrett Dutson, with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office, will each receive this award in recognition of their years of service and positive contributions to their communities. Saratoga Jewelers sponsors this award and will present a gift to Sergeant Nielson and Deputy Dutson
There will be drawings, prizes, special guests l, including BYU athletes, and a special musical number by Ms. America! And Seven Peaks will be giving away water day passes to the first 100 people to arrive! The address of the event is 2100 West Granite Way, Pleasant Grove, Utah.
