Detectives hope to be able to find the owner of three expensive sculptures found in sagebrush near Cedar Fort.
In 2015 Deputies with the Utah County Sheriff's Office spoke to a man whose son was looking for deer antlers near Cedar Fort when he came across three bronze sculptures. They were surrounded by and covered with sagebrush and appeared to have been there for quite some time. The sculptures depict young children engaged in various activities. One of them depicts a young child happily riding on a large snail. The sculptures are bronze casts from well known local artist who is unable to determine to whom they were sold. There are three sculptures, each standing 2'-3' high and they are valued at approximately $5,000.00 each. Anyone who may have information that could help in identifying the owner is asked to call the Utah County Sheriff's Office at (801)851-4010. If you call after hours or on weekends then leave a message and a Detective will return your call. A photo of one of the sculptures is included with this release. It is hoped that someone will be able to give detail identifying this and the other two sculptures so they can be returned to the owner.
