Search and Rescue volunteers responded to Mount Timpanogos to assist a hiker having medical problems. While in the area they assisted another hiker who was suffering from dehydration.

On September 1, 2014, at about 4:00 AM, Deputies with Utah County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a report of a woman hiking Mt. Timpanogos who was experiencing medical problems. Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue (SAR) and North Fork Fire Department, from Sundance, were sent to the area and they arrived on scene with the 26 year old woman. She began her hike around 1:00 AM from the Aspen Grove Trailhead and started experiencing problems about 2.8 miles up the trail. This woman had preexisting medical problems. SAR and North Fork medical personnel got to her location about 6:00 AM and began to treat her. Because of her condition LifeFlight was dispatched to assist. The medical helicopter arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital. The woman is from California but has been living in Utah for several months.

While on the mountain SAR and North Fork personnel came across another woman in her 20's who had collapsed. She was apparently suffering from dehydration. She was treated where she was found and responders assisted her down the mountain.
