The Utah County Health Department and Utah County computer resources and materials may contain hypertext or other links to external Internet sites. These are provided only for your convenience. Any information, materials, personal opinions, or endorsements of products or services appearing on external sites are not controlled, sponsored, or approved by the County. The County disclaims legal responsibility for any information, materials or services made available on external sites, and for the personal opinions of individuals posted on any site, regardless of whether the County operates the site, unless the personal opinions are official opinions issued by members of Utah County government. No other sections of this disclaimer statement are applicable to external sites beyond the control of the County.

The UCHD recognizes that providing links from UCHD's web site to non-UCHD Web sites can assist users in obtaining additional information and resources. However, UCHD's Web site cannot be used to endorse or promote private companies. Therefore, links to external sites must be limited to the following organizations:

  • Other governmental agencies.
  • Non-governmental agencies and not-for-profit agencies providing services or information consistent with the UCHD's mission.
  • Agencies or organizations that provide services to Utah County citizens.

For more information on adding or updating an outside link, please submit suggestions to our Comments form. Suggestions for external links should include:

Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA)

It is the policy of the Utah County Health Department to be open and transparent with the public whenever possible. Certain topics or information (such as personal medical records or ongoing investigations) are restricted, however individuals seeking information are encouraged to contact the department in question or to file a GRAMA Request.

Social Media Comment Policy

The UCHD participates in Facebook and other social media sites in order to engage individuals and organizations in leading healthier lives. UCHD provides content to encourage participation with our science-based messages and discussion of health information.

Posted comments and images do not necessarily represent the views of UCHD. External, non-UCHD links on this site do not constitute official endorsement on behalf of the UCHD. While we encourage individuals to share thoughts and opinions on the UCHD Facebook page, we expect that this will be done in a respectful manner.

UCHD does not agree with or endorse every comment that individuals post on our pages. Our goal is to share ideas and information with as many individuals as possible and our policy is to accept the majority of comments made to our profile.

Therefore, a comment will be deleted if it contains:
- Hate speech
- Profanity, obscenity or vulgarity
- Nudity in profile pictures
- Defamation to a person or people
- Name calling and/or personal attacks,
- Comments whose main purpose are to sell a product, and
- Comments that infringe on copyrights,
- Spam comments, such as the same comment posted repeatedly on a profile,
- Political statements supporting a particular candidate or party, and
- Other comments that the UCHD Social Media team deems inappropriate.

All links posted as comments on UCHD posts will be reviewed and may be deleted at anytime.

Repeated violations of the UCHD comment policy may cause the author to be blocked from the UCHD Facebook page.

We understand that social media is a 24/7 medium; however, our moderation capabilities are not. We may not see every inappropriate comment right away, and we are trusting in the maturity of our community to ignore personal attacks and negative speech or respond politely.
