MEGAN HUNTSMAN

On April 20, 2015, Ms. Hunstman was sentenced to six life sentences, three consecutive and three concurrent, at the Utah State Prison. The first parole hearing date is scheduled for April 2064, at which time she will be 89 years old.

From 1996 to 2006, Megan Huntsman gave birth to six children who were born alive and lived only minutes. Immediately after each child's birth, Huntsman choked or smothered the infant sometimes by wrapping a ligature around the infant's neck but most often by pressing on their throats with her thumbs until they stopped breathing. Megan then wrapped each body in plastic and stashed the bodies in various boxes and containers throughout her garage. Megan Huntsman claimed that she killed the children because she was "too messed up on meth" to properly care for them.

On February 12, 2015, Megan Huntsman, 40, from Riverton, Utah, pleaded guilty to six counts of first degree murder for the deaths of six of her own children. On April 20, 2015, Megan Huntsman was sentenced to six life sentences, three consecutive and three concurrent, at the Utah State Prison.

Megan Huntsman's first parole hearing date is scheduled for April 2064, at which time she will be 89 years old.
