*** US Forest Service Area And Road Closure Updates

The Forest Supervisor has issued updated road and area closure information for the areas of the Pole Creek and Bald Mountain Fires.

*** PRESS RELEASE *** October 12, 2018: The Forest Supervisor of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, Spanish Fork Ranger District, has issued an order that adjusts some of the road and area closures that have been in place during the Burn Area Emergency Response (BAER) following the Pole Creek and Bald Mountain Fires. Closures are implemented for public safety. Hazards that affect public safety in these areas include potential debris flows and falling trees because of the recent fires. These closures will be evaluated as the BAER Team continues the work of mitigating the risks outlined above.

--Except for local traffic, all US Forest Service areas west of US Highway 89 to Nebo Loop Road in the Birdseye, Nebo Creek, and Thistle areas are closed to public access.

--The Nebo Loop Road from Maple Dell Boy Scout Camp, south into Juab County is closed, as is Santaquin Canyon Road, west to Trumbolt day use area. All US Forest Service areas within these areas are also closed to public access.

--Diamond Fork Road is closed from US Highway 6, north to Springville Crossing. This closure includes US Forest Service campgrounds in this area as well as Little Diamond and Wanrhodes. This closure also includes all US Forest Service areas from Sheep Creek west to Spanish Fork Peak and north to Kirkham Hollow in Hobble Creek Canyon.

--Sheep Creek Road is open to Ray's Valley, Springville Crossing, and into Hobble Creek Canyon.
