***UPDATE Sept 27, 2018*** Pole Creek and Bald Mountain Fire Updates

Progress is being made. Hobble Creek roads are no accessible to the public, as are some areas of Diamond Fork and Sheep Creek Roads. Covered Bridge Canyon remains under a mandatory evacuation order.

*** PRESS RELEASE *** September 27, 2018, 9:45 AM: Fire Officials with the California Type I Incident Management Team will continue their transition to management of the Pole Creek and Bald Mountain Fires from the Rocky Mountain and Great Basin Type I Incident Management Teams. Containment and weather conditions continue to improve. The Pole Creek Fire is currently 101,843 acres, with 56% containment, and 1005 personnel assigned. The Bald Mountain Fire is currently 18,605 acres, with 76% containment, and 505 personnel assigned. Covered Bridge Canyon is still under mandatory evacuation order. Hobble Creek Canyon roads are now accessible, as are Diamond Fork and Sheep Creek Roads. The forest areas east and south of Hobble Creek, north of US Highway 6, East of Diamond Fork Road, and west of Sheep Creek Road are still closed to the public, as there are still ongoing firefighting efforts in these areas.
