CAMPAIGN FINANCE REPORTING

Candidates for office are required to report expenditures and contributions made to bring about their nomination or election. All required reporting forms for candidates running for elective offices are included in the candidate packet and are filed with the Lt. Governor's office for all state offices or the County Clerk for Utah County and local school board candidates who reside within this county. Additional forms are available upon request.

The reports must be received in the office required for filing by 5:00 p.m. on the due date. If a candidate fails to file the required financial disclosure reports, they will be disqualified and their name removed from the ballot. (Utah Code Reference 17-6-6.5 and 20A-11-206).

While the County Clerk will do everything possible to assist candidates to file their forms, it still remains a fundamental responsibility of the Candidate to fill out and submit their required disclosures.
